BRC/IoP Accreditation

May 2008

After months of hard work and training, Oriel are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the BRC/IoP food hygiene accreditation (for companies manufacturing and supplying food packaging materials for retailer branded products). Therefore all of our print is now produced under this technical standard. We are looking forward to expanding our trade printing services in to this market and we believe our specialism of printing on to plastics will be a welcome addition in this sector.

30^th Anniversary

Oriel celebrates being incorporated 30 years in 2008 and have added a commemorative logo to our stationery and website to help convey our excitement at this milestone.

Committed to Food Hygiene Accreditation!

As part of our continual improvement we have just begun working with a specialist consultant in order for Oriel to achieve BRC/IOP accreditation. This process is likely to take 6 to 9 months at which point we will have ensured our production environment and staff are of an appropriate high standard to ensure our printed products are produced under the most hygienic conditions to conform with the quality standard. This will not only improve how we produce all of our work but will expand our capability for our confidential trade printing service provided to packaging manufacturers.

Settling in Nicely!

Since our move to new premises we are really seeing the benefits of this purpose built facility. Improvements in terms of space and layout have increased our efficiency and the new presses are performing fantastic. The results on the printed sheet speak for themselves, tints are sharper, colour lift is greater and colour control has never been tighter thanks to our axis control system. We are just awaiting the completion of our staircase in the main entrance then we are completely finished.
